Hi! I’m a postdoctoral fellow at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, working on the project TURING with Prof. Evelina Leivada. In this project, we investigate the linguistic abilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) across languages and in comparison with humans, focusing in particular on the models’ linguistic limits across different domains of language (syntax, morphology, semantics, and pragmatics).
Previously, I was a FI SDUR PhD fellow at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, enrolled in the program “Cognitive Science and Language”, under the supervision of Prof. M.Teresa Espinal. In my PhD project, I investigated how (In)definiteness and (Non-)maximality are expressed in Italian and Italo-Romance varieties in comparison with other Romance languages. Specifically, I investigated certain form-meaning mismatch unique to Italian and Italo-Romance, in which a definite article receives an indefinite interpretation.
Before starting my PhD, I studied at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where I got my BA in English and Catalan studies with a specialization in linguistics, and my MA in Cognitive Science and Language.
You can find more information about my research interests and work experience in my CV.
